Like writers who need editors to round out their stories, knitting pattern designers need technical editors to smooth out the lumps in their creations. I can do that for you.

My job as tech editor is to help your creation shine. To produce a complete knitting pattern, it must be correct, clear, concise and consistent. I will look for the knots and straighten the kinks so your creation will be a joy to work on.

About me

Hi! I’m Karen Ho Wong, and I love to knit.

After retiring from full-time work in 2019, amidst the two years of COVID, I came across The Tech Editor Hub. To take my passion to the next level I completed the course Learn to Tech Edit Knitting.

I learned to knit at five on my grandmother’s knee and haven’t stopped. I live in sunny Singapore with my husband and a cat. I have three adult children and two grandchildren. Singapore is on the equator and, as such, is warm all year round. 30°C ambient temperatures and 80% humidity are common — definitely tee-shirt and shorts all the time. Although I like knitting sweaters and cardigans in wool, unless we travel to cooler climes, there isn’t much opportunity to wear them. I am exploring other fibres. Even so, I always have a project on my needles.
